When artists go on tour, their streaming figures increase. For some artists, streaming figures increase enormously before and after a show. Concerts lead to an average increase in local streams of 42% in the week after the event compared to the eight weeks before. One of the decisive factors for the increase in an artist's local streams is the genre. K-pop acts SUGA and TOMORROW X TOGETHER saw weekly local streaming increases of 133% and 129% respectively. Classic pop acts like the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block are perhaps the biggest beneficiaries, seeing a 170% increase. Hip-hop acts like Drake, 50 Cent and J.I.D. & SMINO are only seeing local weekly increases of 28%-34%. Country stars Little Big Town and Blake Shelton are seeing post-show gains of 36% and 32%, respectively
