Aaron Taylor-Johnson has signed a contract with Omega, the iconic watch brand associated with "James Bond," fueling speculation that he could be the next 007. Omega has been featured in the Bond films since "GoldenEye" in 1995, worn by actors Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig, making the brand an integral part of the franchise. "I have always valued watches, especially Omega," Taylor-Johnson said in a statement following his visit to the Swiss headquarters. "Now, after touring the factory, I am in awe of the craftsmanship required to produce such a luxurious product," he added. Taylor-Johnson has been linked to the Bond role before, but he told Esquire magazine, "It's not really up to me to say." Current betting odds favor Theo James for the role at 6/4, Henry Cavill at 3/1, and Taylor-Johnson at 7/2. Following the acquisition of MGM, Amazon now has full creative control and distribution rights to the Bond series. Reportedly, the company paid $1 billion to gain creative control. A new Bond film is officially in development and is expected to hit theaters around late 2026 or 2027.
