Ed Gale, best known for his role as Chucky in the film “Child's Play,” has passed away at the age of 61, as confirmed by his family. In a Facebook post, his niece Kayse Gale wrote: “Ed took his final bow and is now making headlines in the afterlife,” recalling his humor and love for storytelling. Gale, born as a dwarf in Plainwell, Michigan, moved to California at the age of 20 with “41 dollars and a dream,” as his niece wrote. Gale made his film debut in a duck costume in the 1986 Marvel cult comedy “Howard the Duck.” He brought Chucky to life in “Child's Play” and returned for “Child's Play 2” and “Bride of Chucky.” His other roles included Tasha in “Land of the Lost” and appearances in “Tiptoes,” “Baywatch,” and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” Throughout his career, Gale appeared in over 130 films, series, and commercials, leaving behind “a legacy full of questionable lighting and amazing one-liners.”
