Kanye West (Ye) has admitted on X that he dreams of apologizing to Jay Z and expressing his regret over the long-standing feud between the two. In April, he tweeted, "I'm sorry, Jay Z," referring to previous comments, including the now-deleted claim that Jay-Z's twins Rumi and Sir were mentally disabled. He admitted feeling guilty about the post and wrote that he feels "bad," but also that he feels abandoned by the music industry: "None of these rap n***as have had my back." The relationship between Ye and Jay-Z reportedly deteriorated after the release of Ye's track "Jail" (2021), which included a verse from Jay-Z. In it, Jay-Z rapped, "Stop all these red caps, we're going home," a line widely interpreted as a dig at Ye's public support for Donald Trump and his signature MAGA cap. West also recently said he wants to restore his relationship with another former collaborator, Pusha T.
