Sabrina Carpenter has responded to criticism of her music and image, claiming that people are ignoring the broader spectrum of her artistic work. The 26-year-old singer faced criticism after unveiling the cover of her upcoming album "Man's Best Friend," set to be released on August 29. The cover, showing Carpenter on all fours with a man in a suit holding her hair, sparked a debate on social media. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Carpenter said sexual content is only a small part of her work. "You love sex, clearly. You're obsessed with it," she told the critics. She also referred to her "Juno" live performance, where she mimics sexual positions, noting that there are "so many more moments... but those are the ones you post every night." "I don't want to be pessimistic, but I really feel like I've never lived in a time where women have been dissected and scrutinized in every way more. I'm not just talking about myself. I'm talking about every artist making art right now." Sabrina Carpenter Some have called the album artwork misogynistic, while others say it's satirical and flips the male focus on its head. Carpenter recently headlined at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and will also perform at BST Hyde Park in London.
