Sabrina Carpenter's new album "Man's Best Friend" has set a Spotify record for the year 2025: it is the album with the most streams in a single day by a female artist. Carpenter shared Spotify's announcement post on X and wrote: "I can't believe it... thank you so much." This success comes just a few days after the album's release, which was first announced in June. The lead single "Manchild" debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Carpenter's second number-one hit. Her previous album "Short n' Sweet" included several hits, including "Espresso," the most streamed song on Spotify in 2024, and "Please Please Please," which also reached number one on the Hot 100. Despite the pressure to surpass her previous success, Carpenter told Interview Magazine: "It's no different than when I made the last album." The singer-songwriter explained that she can write when she feels "inspired" and does not adhere to a specific deadline.
