Quelle: TV21.at (Glomex)

During the open studio day, icon painter Wilfriede Deutsch opened her doors to visitors. Those who came by could witness the creation of an icon: layer by layer, with natural pigments, egg tempera, and gold leaf, following centuries-old rules. The artist explained the significance of colors and symbols and demonstrated the patience and tranquility embedded in each image. An insight into an art where painting almost becomes meditation.
