The native of Cologne, Dirk Lottner, once a professional at 1. FC Köln and later youth and assistant coach of the club, has been the U19 coach at Hannover 96 since 2022. Together with assistant coach Lars Barlemann and U17 coach Christian Schulz, he now temporarily takes over the 96ers' professional team.
