The FC Würzburger Kickers missed a win in the first game after the dismissal of coach Martin Lanig. The current title holder, under the leadership of interim coach and sports director Sebastian Neumann, could only manage a 1-1 (1-0) draw against the heavily relegation-threatened FC Eintracht Bamberg and is still nine points away from league leader 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 with three matchdays remaining in the season.
