Paris Saint-Germain defeated Inter Miami 4-0 in the Club World Cup round of 16. The one-sided match at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta revealed the clear gap between the European champions and the American team invited by wildcard. The encounter of the Parisian youth with the Florida legends Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez showed the French superiority from the beginning. Paris took the lead quickly through a header by Joao Neves in the 6th minute. Paris capitalized on the lack of pressing from the Messi-Suarez duo to impose its game and initiate many good actions. Joao Neves scored a brace in the 39th minute, followed by a goal from Achraf Hakimi in the 45th minute, making it 4-0 before halftime. After the decision was made, the pace in the second half for Luis Enrique's troops was not as high. On the other hand, Inter Miami could hardly trouble the Parisian defense.
