Max Verstappen secured his seventh win of the season at the Qatar Grand Prix, setting up an exciting championship finale in Abu Dhabi. By winning, Verstappen moved up to second place in the driver standings, four points ahead of Oscar Piastri in McLaren and twelve points behind Lando Norris. "It was an incredible race for us as a team. We made the right decision to pit. It was smart. And I'm overjoyed to have won here and to stay in the fight for the top - simply incredible. It was somewhat overshadowed by the circumstances, but for us, it was a very strong race on a somewhat difficult weekend that we still managed to pull off," said Verstappen.
