Sören Waerenskjold ended the fastest Tour stage in history with a jubilant cry on the banks of the Loire and outsmarted the sprint competition, including the once again disappointed Pascal Ackermann. In a historic express stage, hopes for the end of the German drought were shattered once again - also because the Norwegian Waerenskjold showed the right sense of the moment.
