This time our "Museum Thing" comes from the Museum KulturLand Ries in Maihingen: The hand-knitted bikini by the well-known Nördlinger Maria Herrmann consists of different wool colors and dates back to around 1960. Her legacy to the museum of over 1500 pieces of clothing documents the change in fashion and clothing habits in the Ries region, providing a unique insight into the lives of people in that region at that time.
