Second seed Alexander Blockx began his Next Gen ATP Finals campaign with the victory over eighth seed Justin Engel in the Red Group on the Day 1 of round-robin 3-4 (7:9), 4-2, 4-2, 4-2 on Wednesday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
