Extension of Replacement Service: Aischgrund Railway Out of Service Longer Than Planned

The Aischgrund Railway cannot resume operations as planned on November 1. According to current information from the infrastructure operator DB InfraGo, the existing track closure will remain in place until further notice. Media reports suggest that the reason for this is that DB has been waiting for special machines for weeks to correct track alignment errors. The planned repair work by InfraGo is scheduled for mid-November, and until then, replacement buses will continue to be offered as rail replacement services.
