The new Ferrari Elettrica - Rear E-AXLE

The front and rear axles each contain two independent electric motors, which together enable torque vectoring and ensure the desired driving dynamics. Every component of the front and rear axles was developed entirely in-house by Ferrari to ensure the tremendous performance typical of the brand. The transmission, inverter, and electric motors are designed for perfect control, maximum power density, extreme electrical efficiency, and low noise emissions. By manufacturing the castings in Ferrari's own foundry, the company also ensures the highest product quality and strict control over the entire production process. All castings are made from a secondary aluminum alloy, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 90 percent compared to conventional alloys without compromising mechanical performance. The front axle drive, with a total power of 210 kW, can be decoupled at any speed up to the maximum speed to give the model rear-wheel drive characteristics. This maximizes efficiency and reduces fuel consumption in situations where four-wheel drive is not required. At full acceleration, the axle transmits up to 3500 Nm to the wheels.
