This Christmas market is now known beyond the borders of the region and according to a survey among our readers in 2024, it was even one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Franconia: The Mitwitzer Castle Christmas Market takes place on the first weekend of Advent in the Upper Franconian district of Kronach. For three days - from November 28th to 30th, 2025 - around 100 artisans and exhibitors present their goods around the festively illuminated Renaissance water castle.
