Support for clinics in the region: Free State increases funding

The Free State of Bavaria is increasing investment funding for hospitals from 800 to 900 million euros in 2026. This is intended to ensure that clinics remain modernly equipped and that comprehensive, high-quality medical care is possible. 100 million euros of the increase come from the special fund "Infrastructure and Climate Neutrality". At the same time, nine new hospital construction projects with a total volume of around 466 million euros have already been planned — the sponsors can therefore approach their projects with planning security. The additional funding volume is intended to prevent investment backlogs in the future.
