Balance of the Self-Determination Act: Over 2000 Changes to Gender Entry in Bavaria

On November 1, 2024, the Self-Determination Act came into force. Current figures from the Bavarian State Office for Statistics show that in 2025, over 2000 people in the Free State changed their gender entry. Just under 42.5% from female to male and just under 29% from male to female. Regionalized figures are not available.
