Passenger record for VAG Nuremberg: Public transport ahead of car for the first time

The VAG Nuremberg has once again set a passenger record in 2025. Nearly 164 million people have used buses and trains - 1.6 percent more than the previous year. For the first time, the share of public transport in the choice of means of transport in Nuremberg is 25.2 percent ahead of the car. The Germany Ticket and the NürnbergMOBIL app also continue to see increasing user numbers. Despite higher fare revenues and improved operating results, the financial situation remains tense. The VAG announces that it intends to continue investing in expanding the range of services as well as in new trams and electric buses.
