Chinese pensioners bring Tai Chi to Vienna's parks

Slow movements, focused faces, deep calm: What is part of the cityscape in Beijing or Shanghai every morning can also be found in the middle of the Danube City. In the Cherry Blossom Park, we meet a group of Chinese pensioners who regularly meet for Tai Chi - just like in the Danube Park, where they practice in the morning hours when the weather is nice. Tai Chi is more than gymnastics for them: a centuries-old art of movement that trains breath, balance, and serenity - and a piece of home that they have brought to Vienna. Nothing is organized here, no registration, no course schedule. You just come - and whoever wants to join is welcome, even without speaking a word of Chinese.
