A 65-year-old woman with Parkinson's disease played the clarinet during brain surgery at King's College Hospital in London. According to an October 21 press release, surgeons performing Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) saw immediate improvement in her hand movement as electrical impulses were delivered to her brain, helping her play again after years of difficulty.
