Crowds of people in Manhattan, New York populated the sidewalks and crosswalks to take pictures of the July 12 Manhattanhenge. The phenomenon occurs due to the city's street grids lining up with sunrise and sunset at particular times of year, much like how Stonehenge lines up with both summer and winter solstices.
