Fire engulfs Hitler's mountaintop Eagle's Nest retreat

Adolf Hitler's Kehlsteinhaus – known in English as the Eagle's Nest – retreat in Berchtesgaden, Germany was badly damaged in a suspected arson attack on October 23. A man has been placed in a psychiatric hospital following the incident. The building was intended to be used for diplomatic functions, but Hitler only visited it 14 times.
