In 2025, high school science teacher Kent Hups discovered a massive T-rex footprint in North Dakota. He then slowly realized he was looking at a set of ambling footprints that extended into a trackway. Hups' discovery is the first of its kind in the world. Their original position has been documented and the fossilized footprints have been extracted. They will go on public display at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in Colorado on October 30.
